Expert touts the use of email archiving solutions moving forward

Since employees receive and send an abundance of emails on a daily basis, some organizations may be seeking more effective ways to manage these messages.

According to a recent Silicon.com report by Monica Seeley, email archiving solutions are expected to play a key role in the near future.

"Businesses continue to need to be able to save and find key emails that contain corporate history," wrote Seeley. "Many may have implemented enterprise email archiving systems but many organizations still rely on individuals to do their own archiving on their own hard disk."

The writer added that companies that rely on their own hard disk methods stand to lose valuable email and risk facing noncompliance violations that could be a serious detriment to their operations.

Other industry experts have endorsed the use of email archiving solutions, especially for businesses dealing with greater storage concerns. According to a recent Help Net Security report by contributing writer Christina Goggi, these systems can help companies manage their messages more effectively, as well as lower their overall computing costs.
