Legacy or historical data is generally referred to as information stored in an old or obsolete format (or computer system) that is, therefore, difficult to access or process. Legacy data refers to email data sitting on:

- 100% Searchable: LiveOffice securely captures and indexes all messages (and attachments) imported into one of our archiving solutions. Once indexed, administrators and users can quickly and easily search the entire contents of archived emails and attachments, using a variety of search criteria, including to, from, date, subject, message body, message attachments and other message properties.
- Complete Ingestion: LiveOffice documents the number of original files/PSTs/ NSFs sitting in existing stores and compares them to the total number of files/PSTs/NSFs imported into the archive.
- Dedicated Specialist: When a client requests a data import, the case is assigned to a CloudMerge Specialist, who reviews the details and adds the project to our schedule. The status of the import is tracked within LiveOffice’s project tracking system and the Specialist provides regular updates regarding the estimated completion date.
- Data Ingestion at Scale: Unlike many of our competitors that are bandwidth constrained, LiveOffice has the ability to ingest terabytes of data within weeks, not months. This speed is especially critical with reactive e-discovery cases.
- Returned Data/Destroyed Data: At the end of the migration, LiveOffice either returns the original data to the customer or simply destroys it. In either case, LiveOffice documents the process and notes the date the media was either returned or destroyed, per the client's instructions.
